This note applies only to checkers.plyyard.com. You can play without opening an account, so almost everything about a game stays in your browser, or is handed to the other seat in a room for as long as that connection lasts.

What we never ask for

A game does not need your name, email, phone number, or a password. There is no registration desk and no database of logins for ordinary play.

We do not ask for identity papers or payment details as a condition of moving a man.

What stays on this device

A computer game or a shared-device game may keep the current position and a few display choices in this browser so you can come back to them. An online sitting may keep the token needed to rejoin the same room.

Clearing site data for checkers.plyyard.com, removing the installed web app, or using the browser’s “clear this site” control usually deletes those local games and preferences. Different browsers tidy up in slightly different ways.

What a room actually sends

While you are in a room, hops, a resignation, and a draw offer travel over a temporary connection on this site’s servers so both boards show the same position. When the room ends, that session is cleaned up on the server’s schedule.

A public room appears in the lobby so someone can sit down or watch. The list does not print the full room code. A private link should stay with people you trust.

What the page loads

The board files are hosted here and fetched by your browser.

The computer thinks on this device. The position is not uploaded to a cloud engine.

The board does not depend on a third-party font house or an image CDN to draw the squares.

If you add the page to a home screen

You can install the site as a web app for a quicker open. The icon and cached files stay on your device. Uninstall or clear site data and they go with it.

Mail you choose to send

If you write to contact@plyyard.com, we receive whatever you put in that message — a description, a screenshot, a note about the device. We use it to look at the problem and reply. We do not add the address to a marketing list.

Do not put a password in the mail. This site will never ask you for one.

Younger players

The board is open to anyone who wants a game of draughts. If you are looking after a child, stay nearby when they open a room or share a link.

When this note changes

If we change how storage, room traffic, or the page itself works, we may update this text. The current wording lives on this URL. Using the site after a change means you have had a chance to read the version that is up then.
